We love what we do.
We pride ourselves on service in both our professional and personal lives - and while we've spent time living and working in big cities in the US and abroad, we're both from the country in Arizona and Texas.
Married 31 years - we're a real team, and are happy to assist with anything you need during your stay. While we'll give you space, we also hope to get to know a thing or two about you while you're here. Don't be afraid to wander over if we're out and about on the property.
A few words about each of us below. See you soon! Questions? Just call:
About Melisa (Your Hostess):
We live full time in Whispering Pines and since our children are grown, we now dote on our animals. I love having chickens, caring for our mini-goats (Wesley and Buttercup) and marching with our beautiful mini-horses, Peaches and Ace, in local parades. Life in the forest is a wonder, and walking local trails is always a highlight for me and the dogs (or the horses!)
While it's true I enjoy running the AirBNB - I'm also a photographer with over 26 years experience photographing kids/families, weddings, head-shots, magazine covers, and more. You name it, I've photographed it. The property offers awesome backgrounds and lighting, and the natural beauty of Payson is a photographer's dream.
It's easy to arrange professional family photos while you're staying with us! Just reach out and let us know you're interested!
About Tim (Your Co-host):
I work in technology from the cabin at the top of the property that used to be the Whispering Pine General Store. My life is split between time on the keyboard and the many projects and activities here on the property in Whispering Pines and in the surrounding forests. Consider me the resident "web guy", the handyman, and "lawn care/landscape specialist" for your stay! I also enjoy good cigars and bourbon if you need some company while relaxing at the creek.
If you're interested in local fishing, lakes, hiking (we can take the mini-horses to pack our stuff!) or stand up paddle boarding, please just ask. Happy to share local knowledge of the Payson area.
